Plastic!! Threatening Element for Earth

 


In 2022, plastic pollution became a major issue around the whole world. If any natural or human created elements has a negative impact on our environment which hampers the life of human beings and other animals called pollution. Plastic pollution is one of them as it damages the quality of environment. We all know that plastic elements are non-recyclable and it releases harmful chemical that pollutes air, soil, water etc. Nowadays we use polyethene's which are the polymer of ethylene and its very harmful for our environment. Every day we buy or use many products which are made of plastic like plastic bottles, wrappings, bags etc. Therefore, most of the plastic items are not disposable so it remains on the earth through soil or ocean for many years. Plastic pollution has a great impact on climate change and the life cycle of many animals. But we can control it by social awareness. We can control plastic pollution by using reusable bags, by not using plastic bottles, cup and cutleries and many other things which are made of plastic. People use plastic as it's easy to carry and also cheap. There are many harmful effects of plastic pollution, some of them are it can cause death to many animals, plastic items releases toxin which pollutes the air, it also blocks the river and ocean and destroy the fertility of soil. Not only for environment and animals, plastic pollution is also threatening for human beings. People are suffering from many diseases like obesity, diabetes, cancer, infertility due to plastic pollution. Every year tons of plastic wastage are thrown into ocean which hampers the lifespan of sea animals. We can replace plastic items by paper, steel, glass etc. Plastic pollution also caused global warming. Plastic elements sticks on the earth for ages and releases toxin chemicals. Plastic pollution also destroy the ecosystem. The adverse effects of plastic on the environment are vast and varied. They range from the pollution of our waterways to the destruction of our marine life. We cannot continue to ignore the problem any longer and we must take action to reduce our reliance on plastic. We can start by making small changes in our everyday lives, such as using reusable bags and water bottles. Every little bit helps and together are can make a different.
